In an effort to let God's Word live among the students, we want to distribute 1,250 Bibles at a subsidized price and 10,000 Selections free of charge and develop attractive posters and video clips to challenge the students to really apply what they have learned from the Bible.
This project is priority 4 for the Bible Society.
For several years now we have been supporting both the Protestant and the Roman Catholic School Boards with subsidized Dutch and Papiamentu Bibles for their secondary schools.
The School Boards are eager to continue with this project especially after the introduction of a Bible with a denim (jeans) cover which the students really identify themselves with.
But it is as if they are using the Bible in the classroom and as soon as they leave the classroom there is no sign that the teachings of the Bible are being put in practice.
In an effort to let God's Word live among the students we want to develop attractive posters and video clips to challenge the youth to really apply what they have learned from the Bible.
There is a well-structured cooperation between the School Boards and the Bible Society regarding the distribution of Bibles in the secondary schools.
Based on this good relationship, we will work together with the teachers on a program in which we will stimulate more interaction with God's Word by introducing several themes for discussion which will also be promoted through posters and video clips that stimulate them to go an extra mile in our efforts to open the Bible.
